Abstract: The trade deficit seems to have caused the Sino-US trade war, but this is only based on data. The new United States President Joe Biden may be able to appropriately adjust this relationship. There may be a short period of relaxed Sino- US relations, but their long-term struggle and risk are irreversible. In short, the United States’new Cold War and decoupling tried to once again isolate China from the world system. Cooperation between trading partners can not only help them support each other and overcome economic difficulties, but can also serve as a reliable model for promoting the occurrence of international cooperation and mutual trust, forming a virtuous circle. It is time to actively participate in formulating multilateral trade regulations, reducing regulations that have long been unfavorable to China, and reflecting China’s interests when formulating rules. Faced with the “poison pill” provision and its possible impact, China should maintain its strategic determination and continue pursuing its goals. Specifically, China can strive to eliminate the possible negative effects of the “poison pill” provision based on three levels.
