Abstract: As a significant milestone in Africa’s development process, the establishment of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) represents a crucial step towards collective self-reliance and economic integration in the region. The AfCFTA aims to integrate 54 African Union (AU) member countries, creating a unified market encompassing a population of 1.3 billion and a GDP exceeding $3.4 trillion. However, the implementation of the AfCFTA has also encountered formidable challenges. In the long term, as the effects of the implementation of the AfCFTA gradually unfold, it will generate profound implications for trade in goods, investment, and infrastructure contracting within the framework of China-Africa economic and trade collaboration.
